Team Gloria
Kim Blanck (Writer, Director, Producer)
Bay Area native Kim Blanck marks her debut as writer-director with Gloria. Her pilot script Half Full was a selection for the inaugural RIOT Refinery29 Comedy Lab, and she is co-creator and producer of the web series Basic Witch. Film and television appearances include Women Who Kill (2016 Tribeca Festival), Call Jane, WeCrashed, New Amsterdam, Dr. Death, and East New York. On Broadway, Kim recently wrapped up her run as labor organizer Ruza Wenclawska in the Tony Award-winning Suffs. Her voice can be heard on the original cast recordings of Octet, Alice by Heart, and Suffs; on Shaina Taub’s 2022 album Songs of the Great Hill; and in Liann Kaye’s award-winning miniseries, The Blessing. She earned her MFA from UC San Diego.
Caitlyn Durkin (Producer)
Caitlyn Durkin is a writer and creative producer from the San Francisco Bay Area. She has produced a variety of short films, music videos, and commercials. She is currently producing LeAndre Thomas’s debut feature film, This Is Private, and recently produced LaTajh Simmons-Weaver’s short film, Budget Paradise, which world premiered at SFFILM 2025.
Some of her credits include: Top Gun: Maverick (Paramount), Bumblebee (Paramount), 13 Reasons Why (Netflix), Ant-Man (Marvel), Rogue One: A Star Wars Story (Lucasfilm), and Steve Jobs (Universal). Caitlyn champions stories that challenge the status quo, take creative risks, and highlight underrepresented voices. Her goals include fostering a more equitable creative economy, and cultivating space and platforms for original, innovative storytellers.
Xin Liu (Producer)
Xin Liu is a San Francisco-based writer, director, and producer. Born and raised in Sichuan, China, she worked as a journalist for several years before moving to the U.S. to study film. She explores new ways to tell inspiring stories and uncover profound emotions in life’s most ordinary moments.
Caitlin Machak (Cinematographer, Producer)
Caitlin Machak is an award-winning cinematographer and member of the International Cinematographers Guild (IATSE Local 600). She worked her way up through the camera department on projects such as Netflix's HOUSE OF CARDS and HBO's GIRLS, learning from world-renowned cinematographers along the way. In 2019, she was selected to participate in the ASC’s inaugural year of the Vision Mentorship Program.
As a cinematographer, Caitlin lensed ASK FOR JANE, the first narrative feature film about The Jane Collective which Gloria Steinham said “should be seen by every American.” As a 2nd Unit Cinematographer, she contributed to the Netflix original series THE ILIZA SHLESINGER SKETCH SHOW and FRIENDS FROM COLLEGE, on which she also operated.
Caitlin recently camera operated Savanah Leaf’s A24 film EARTH MAMA as well as Beth de Araújo’s sophomore feature film JOSEPHINE. She is currently in pre-production to shoot video artist Thomas D. Rotenberg’s upcoming feature film.
Mel Guérison (Composer)
Mel is an award-winning composer and has written music for short & feature films, TV, dance choreography, trailers and commercials spanning a wide range of genres, including work for Lionsgate, Oscilloscope, Warner Brothers, Atlus Games, Nike, ON Running, Independent Directors and more. Her work has premiered at SXSW, Tribeca, Fantasia, Series Fest , Sebastopol Docs and other notable festivals, and she has done custom work for The Crystal Creative, SixtyFour Music, Score a Score, Maps Music, Wieden + Kennedy and Supervision Agency.
Guérison grew up playing classical violin, guitar, piano & singing and was invited on her first international tour with an orchestra at the age of fourteen. She toured throughout college while earning her degree in music performance, concentrating in music theory, arranging, voice, classical guitar, piano and drums. She has toured globally, arranged parts for and recorded with bands like Sleater-Kinney, Other Lives, Alexandra Savior, Whitney, Joseph and more.
Ling Chua (Editor)
Ling is a commercial editor currently represented by Joint Editorial. She enjoys working on sports ads with the hope to inspire others, and has a secret wish to edit more dark comedy.
